  • Ribs were astounding (fall off the bone). Brisket was very good (moist, flavorful). BBQ sauce didn’t blow me away but it was great in the ribs. Prices maybe on the high side, but good BBQ.

  • Excellent brisket and good smoked sausage. Simple menu and a nice rustic interior with barn doors and old dining chairs. Everything is served in disposable plates and cups, which I think is great for a BBQ joint. Food came out quickly. All in all a good place to grab a quick bite of BBQ.

  • Great ribs at a truly genuine Texas-style restaurant! Seriously delicious and really reasonable prices for the area. The owners are fun and friendly, and the paper plates and red solo cups add to the casual atmosphere.

  • Ahhh, Texas smoked brisket. I had the beef brisket and smoked sausage plate with a side of corn, slice of pie, and of course, a Shiner. The brisket was just slightly salty for my taste at the first taste, but a swig of beer and a second bite balanced everything 🙂 Overall, it was very tasty! A fun fit for Monroe St with an easy atmosphere. Chat with Shon and Sarah if you get a chance.

  • “Double S BBQ supplied our event with their incredible beef brisket and pork ribs. The people attending our event were asking where the food came from because they said that they hadn’t tasted such good food (both the brisket and ribs). The brisket and ribs disappeared quickly and we were sorry that we had to tell people that we had run out and they would have to try the other food provided by fine restaurants around Madison, Wisconsin. Next year, I know that we will order more and people will come early to make sure they can get some of doublessbbq’s brisket and ribs.”
